At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception to implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our teams assess the status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers and customers.

As a project manager, you will be responsible for projects throughout the various project phases (concept, design, validation, industrialisation):

  • Together with product development, you lay down the product/process technically, so that on the one hand the product meets the customer requirements, but on the other hand the product is manufacturable at a competitive cost ('design for manufacturability').
  • In consultation with various internal stakeholders, you are responsible for the start-up of projects involving the development of new technologies. You try to anticipate market trends at an early stage.
  • You draw up a project planning, taking into account the milestones and requirements of the customer/market. You ensure early involvement (in the design phase) of the process responsible. After all, this is a key factor for the success of the project.
  • You draw up detailed tool requirements for each sub-process of the entire process flow in consultation with the various experts.
  • You organise design reviews with the internal and external suppliers with a focus on risk insurance.
  • You determine the process requirements and process settings for the core processes, in collaboration with internal/external suppliers. You are the lynchpin between suppliers and product engineering in relation to product manufacturability and in assessing product quality.
  • You continuously monitor project status and timings/budgets and carry out project risk assessments. You initiate timely corrective measures to respect timings and budget, and report regularly on the project status to management and the customer.
  • You coordinate the quality assurance and provide the necessary support at the start-up (safe launch).

  • You have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical field (Engineering), or equivalent through experience.
  • A first working experience within technical project management is necessary. Knowledge of the automotive industry is an asset.
  • You have good presentation skills and negotiation capacities.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and 6 sigma is desirable.
  • You have strong analytical skills and strategic thinking. You are team-oriented and solution-oriented. You can work independently and have the necessary perseverance.
  • You can work fluently with MS office. Knowledge of MS project and SAP are a plus.
  • You can communicate fluently (orally and in writing) in Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a strong asset.
