Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.


Task & Responsibilities 

Responsible for projects in the different phases (concept, design, validation, industrialization)
- Starting up projects where new technologies are developed in consultation with product management, product & process development and possibly sales & marketing with a view to anticipate market trends.
- Project planning, taking into account the milestones and requirements of the customers / market.
- Lead weekly project review meetings as core team leader with the different team members (product & process development, quality department, purchasing, marketing / sales and finance). 
- Follow up the project status and continuous monitoring of timings, budgets as well as project risk assessments. Initiate early corrective actions to maintain timing and budget.
- Coordinate quality assurance and support safe launch activities at start-up.
- Present the project status regarding deadlines, project cost, business case and quality to senior management on a regular basis.
- Initiate the PPAP process (Production Part Approval Processes) and coordinate its introduction in the market.
- Elaborate customer related assignments such as presentations, have trial parts produced and delivered as well as create technical information and documentation.
- Support Product and Account Management with forecasts and market analyses.

What your background should look like:

- Bachelor / master studies as an engineer, or similar technical studies / experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in range technical project management is required.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry is an asset
- Good presentation and negotiation skills
- Basic knowledge in TEOA and 6 sigma methodologies is desirable
- Very good analytical skills, team oriented and leadership capabilities to function as a project leader in a matrix structure 
- Independent working and perseverance 
- Solution oriented attitude and strategic thinking skills
- Good knowledge of MS office, knowledge of MS project and SAP are desirable.
- Good communication skills - oral and written - in Dutch and English are a necessity. Knowledge of German is a strong asset.
