As a key member of the Automotive EMIA leadership team, the Communications Lead will be responsible for shaping and delivering an engaging internal communications strategy that supports business priorities, fosters employee engagement, and strengthens leadership visibility across the region. This role will partner closely with the Automotive EMIA leadership team and HR to drive strategic messaging, promote business transformation, and support cultural and engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution, delivering clear and consistent communications across multiple platforms and geographies. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with sound business judgment, excellent writing skills, and the ability to distil complex topics into impactful messaging. They will be a proactive partner, comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed environment, and experienced in influencing senior leaders. This role is instrumental in strengthening the voice of the Automotive EMIA team and driving alignment with our One Auto, One Team vision.

Your main tasks:

Internal Communications Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a regional internal communications strategy, aligned with Global Automotive priorities, that supports business growth, cultural transformation, and employee engagement in EMIA
  • Deliver clear, engaging, and consistent messaging around performance, strategic direction, change initiatives, and leadership communications

Leadership Communication Support

  • Partner with the Automotive EMIA leadership team and HR to craft impactful communications that reflect business priorities and leadership tone
  • Support executive communications including content development for webcasts, leadership announcements and presentations ensuring consistent messaging across EMIA and global automotive

Campaigns & Engagement Initiatives

  • Lead internal communications campaigns across topics such as employee engagement, safety, sustainability, customer centricity, innovation, operational excellence, and recognition
  • Ensure message consistency and relevance throughout the region

Change & Transformation Communications

  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on communications that support change programmes, ensuring clarity, alignment, and support across teams
  • Create toolkits, talking points, and messaging to guide employees through transitions

Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment

  • Work closely with Global Automotive and Regional Communicators to ensure alignment with our One Auto, One Team culture and narrative
  • Align with global, regional, and local communications leads, as well as HR, to maintain consistent messaging and effective local execution
  • Manage the communications champion network across EMIA to increase impact and improve employee engagement with our plant employees

Channels & Tools

  • Utilise TE’s digital communications platforms (e.g., SharePoint, myTE, Digital Signage) to deliver timely, relevant content
  • Monitor performance and feedback to continuously improve channel effectiveness

Your Ideal background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, HR or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in internal communications, with a proven track record of developing and executing effective communication strategies
  • Experience leading internal communications initiatives to drive cultural transformation and employee engagement
  • Regional communications experience is required, with a strong understanding of working across diverse teams and geographies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and engaging messages
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus
  • Strong experience in executive communications, including advising and counseling senior leadership
  • Proficiency in developing compelling presentations that enhance messaging and captivate audiences
  • Deep understanding of current communication trends, tools, and best practices, particularly in digital and social media engagement
  • Ability to leverage storytelling techniques to connect with employees and stakeholders effectively
  • Strong business acumen with a keen interest in learning and understanding TE’s Automotive business to enhance communications strategies
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, fostering alignment and driving change
