Job Overview

The Product Development Engineer provides solutions for the development of high-speed bulk cable products used in Data Centers. This position interacts directly with Manufacturing Process Development Engineering, Quality Engineering, Cable Assembly Engineering, Test Engineering, Raw Materials suppliers, Tool & Fixture Design Engineering, 3rd Party Regulatory & Standards Organizations. This position is responsible for the Design & Development, and overall Validation activities required for High-Speed Bulk Cable Product.

Job Requirements

· Design/Product Development/Documentation

· Support Manufacturing Process Development

· Interact with Test Lab on Product Testing and Validation activities.

· Interact with Cable Assembly to ensure product fully meets expectations. Correlate bulk cable data to cable assembly SI/Physical test data.

· Explore new Raw Materials for Product Development and Improvement activities.

· Interact with SI Engineer on Modeling & Test Development activities.

· Interact with Bulk Cable PDEs/MPDEs in sister plants.

· Support all EH&S Activities.

· Provide Technical Presentations to Internal & External Customers as required.

· Support SAFE Activities

· Support ISO Activities

· Provide any support for any activities or projects necessary to support the business.

What your background should look like

· Minimum of 3-5 years years of experience

· BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering Degree preferred.

· Knowledge of Wire & Cable Manufacturing a plus.

· Experience with Reliability Testing/Engineering a plus.

· Prior Experience in a Product Development environment required.

· Working knowledge of Network Analyzers and S-Parameters a plus.

· CAD Experience a plus.

· Knowledge of high-speed bulk cable design & manufacturing a plus.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $88,000 – $110,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
