Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

Position Overview

SubCom is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Analyst to serve as an integral member of the team working to modernize & improve material flow in an industry expected to experience steadily increasing growth over the next decade.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (*Indicates an Essential Function)

  • *Gather, aggregate, and report spend details across multiple platforms
  • Collaborate with sales, planning, and purchasing to develop inventory strategies by sku
  • *Develop & track key performance indicators (kpi)s as necessary
  • Deploy information technology, Oracle, and lean tools to control and optimize inventory
  • Assist with spend classification and analysis
  • *Develop and analyze bid sheets for competitive bidding events
  • Spend reporting including inflation/deflation
  • Commodity price trending and analysis
  • Managing supplier database
  • *Develop and maintain procurement dashboards
  • Cash analysis (inventory & supplier payment terms)
  • Assist with Oracle implementation
  • Learn eRFx tools including online auctions
  • Assist with budgeting and annual operating plans

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • The successful candidate must have a proven ability to aggregate large amounts of data in multiple formats, to develop accurate and comprehensive datasets.
  • Applicants should have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Looker, Tableau and other similar reporting and analytics tools.  Six sigma, lean, and ERP/MRP experience preferred. 
  • Candidates must be highly self-motivated, customer-centric, and strong ability to work with ambiguity (ability to analyze data, relate it to business needs, & develop solutions as required).
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, and easily engages with others, but can also work independently as required.
  • Basic understanding of the procurement process and UNSPSC codes helpful. 
  • Candidates responding to this posting must be legally authorized to work in the united states on a regular full-time basis without restrictions on a permanent basis. 
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
