Team Leader DevOps and SW-Quality

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Systems Teams conduct analysis, evaluation, design, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise-wide systems across engineering, product management and related functional areas. They perform analysis of systems specifications and use the latest analytical/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes. TE's Engineering Systems Teams also develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, coordinate system upgrade activity and train user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • As a Team Leader of DevOps and SW-Quality, you will be given personnel responsibility for the people assigned to your team.
  • In addition to your focus on DevOps tasks, you will be responsible for ensuring that internal and external assessments, including documentation and review of processes according to Automotive SPICE are performed by your team.
  • Review software development results for conformance to internal and external Automotive SPICE requirements.
  • Your tasks also include the identification of trends, the development of concepts and the proposal of corresponding recommendations for action. Especially with regard to extensions of the Automotive SPICE process towards hardware and mechanics.
  • Supporting our embedded SW development processes by providing a state of the art DevOps tool chain
  • Definition, setup and maintenance of our software development tool chain (Git, BitBucket, Codebeamer, TeamCity, Coverity etc.)  including identification and installation of new SW releases
  • Setup, configuration and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code managed DevOps environments
  • Manage, maintain and monitor development tools and environment and resolve issues in all environments
  • Adaption of tools to meet specific project requirements like agile methodologies and Automotive Spice compliance
  • Definition/development of interface functions to the ALM/PLM tools
  • Research and investigate off the shelf tools that support (CI/CD) automation and validation
  • Conduct training of new users

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar. 
  • At least 5 years of solid working experience in Software Development or Configuration management/ DevOps
  • Experience in automotive environment
  • Administration and Monitoring of Windows and Linux Servers
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Experience with ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) Tools, e.g. Codebeamer
  • Experience with Web-based application in combination with Apache, nginx, mySQL, postgreSQL
  • Source Code Management tools (git, subversion)
  • Static Code Analysis and Test Tools and integration in CI/CD environments (Coverity, CppUTest)
  • Script languages (Bash, Perl, Windows Batch, etc.)
  • Software development lifecycle
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
