ACCOUNT MANAGER III - Remote (TN, NC, SC, GA)

Overview

TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

Position Overview

The Account Manager III (AM III) will be responsible for the sales and support of the Appliance Business Unit products sold directly to and thru distribution channels for assigned accounts.  The AM III must have a broad knowledge of TE technology and product portfolio and the markets served and a solid aptitude for business/commercial negotiations.The Account Manager III (AM III) will be responsible for the sales and support of the Appliance Business Unit products sold directly to and thru distribution channels for assigned accounts.  The AM III must have a broad knowledge of TE technology and product portfolio and the markets served and a solid aptitude for business/commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for TE to all assigned customers – building strong commercial and technical relationships to grow and protect TE’s business.
  • Growth of annual revenues for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain high level of forecast accuracy to support the operations team and Product Management for capacity planning.
  • In collaboration with the assigned Field Engineer and Product Engineering, increase revenue by expanding product content on OEM applications.
  • Support the annual contract negotiations, ensure customers are in compliance with payment terms, and provide support for product price quotations.
  • Develop an annual account strategic plan as requested by the regional sales team.

What your background should look like:

  • B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or B.A./B.B.A with a focus in General Business, Management or Marketing.
  • Up to 3 years of sales experience preferably selling engineered electrical products
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership experience, problem solving abilities and analytical skill
  • Excellent oral/written communication and influencing skill
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of project management principles. Project management experience is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work/train in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with MS Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be willing and able to travel approximately 25% of the time
