Manufacturing Improvement Specialist (m/w/d)

Job Overview

  • Support and develop the operation area with a data driven approach, e.g. deliver daily manufacturing data reports (OEE performance KPI)
  • Establish a culture of waste elimination and define the impact on Key Performance Indicators
  • Create, review and amend standard work instructions (SWI)
  • Initiates and facilitates improvements and activities in dedicated shopfloor areas
  • Responsible to support manufacturing leadership team for development of continuous improvement iniciatives that educate teammates about lean concepts that lead to the identification, development, and implementation of improvements at all operations. Typical improvement activity results in improved safety, productivity, quality, cost reductions and material flow
  • Provide onboarding training for teammates and ensures that the responsibilities are defined and understood and oversees the projects
  • Develop and maintain the value stream mapping/ transformation cycle including CI plans
  • Identify ongoing improvement resource needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training (Kaizen events)

What your background should look like:

  • Manufacturing, LEAN and project management experience preferred
  • Written and spoken English
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN management
  • Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome
  • Interest in change management skills to include practical implementation
  • Interest to set up and execute new cooperate initiatives
  • Strong, eager and charismatic person with hands-on methodology and analytical skills
  • Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $xxx – xxx (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
