Lean Manager (m/w/d)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Initiates and facilitates lean improvement programs and activities
  • Responsible for leadership and development of programs that educate teammates about lean concepts that lead to the identification, development, and implementation of improvements at all operations. Typical improvement activity results in improved safety, productivity, quality, cost reductions and material flow
  • Provide CI activity support to the all operations
  • Ensuring the plant follow the continuous improvement strategy by providing support and coordinating resources
  • Directs and facilitates the ongoing LEAN improvement process using continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen, 5’S, TPM, Material Flow, Standard Work, Cell Design in alignment with Company Continuous Improvement Program
  • Provides LEAN onboarding training for teammates and ensures that the responsibilities are defined and understood and oversees the LEAN projects
  • Identify ongoing LEAN improvement resource needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training
  • Establish a culture of waste elimination and define the impact on Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop and maintain the value stream mapping/ transformation cycle including CI plans

What your background should look like:

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Written and spoken English
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to Train and coach all levels within the organization
  • Extensive knowledge of LEAN management
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome
  • Strong change management skills to include the practical implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles and Concepts
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Strong and charismatic leadership (leading by doing), problem solving and analytical skills
  • Six Sigma experience is a plus
  • Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
