Job Overview
The Successful candidate has a passion for sustainability. She/he will support the deployment of the sustainability strategy and help to calculate Product Carbon Footprint and implement programs, reporting tools to improve circularity within the organization. She/He coordinates projects to support the development and execution of data-driven strategy across all pillars of the TE Energy Business Unit Sustainability team (Social, Environmental, and Reporting). The candidate should have at least a basic understanding of the LCA/PCF topic and Environmental metrics. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining reporting excellence, including building tools and processes for data collection and management, performing data analysis, and visualizing data for internal and external stakeholders. This role will report directly to the Energy BU Sustainability Manager.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining LCA database (working with the metal and resin team, other EFs from various sources, and data gathering for predefined process templates).
- Support different departments and customers regarding various requests about the sustainability topic.
- Manage Sustainability data sets, including Key Performance Indicators, baselines, targets, etc., to drive improvement programs around Sustainability topics, such as but not limited to, climate change, energy efficiency, waste, water resources, transportation, Product life cycle, into the TE Energy Business Unit.
- Develop reporting tools in collaboration with relevant TE Business functions to facilitate the integration of Sustainability data into business reporting and data systems by which leadership may assess performance.
- Support in creating platforms to help communicate information to the TE organization and business partners by modelling qualitative and quantitative environmental, social, reporting related data reflective of current and future materials, products, or emission footprints.
- Translate complex reporting/data requirements into effective business solutions.
- Serve internal customers with reports regarding metrics.
- Maintain the accuracy of monthly reports.
- Develop new dashboards for all KPIs on the plant level and help to maintain web-based tools for team members, including supplier-facing tools.
- Conduct data analysis, including performance analysis, risk assessments, strategy KPI analysis, facility environmental impact analysis, and a deep dive to provide the root cause of issues.
- Other reporting and tracking projects on demand.
Qualifications:
Education Degree:
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in environmental / Sustainability sciences
- LCA/PCF specialization would be an advantage
Professional Experience (years in what processes and functions would be ideal):
- Preferably, previous experience of 1+ years in Environmental / Sustainability-related positions
Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- Expert level with Excel
- Problem-solving skills, data analytical and financial skills, and communication skills
- Ability to analyse, organize, and integrate large amounts of complex data into clear and concise reports
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
- Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Fluent in English
