Job Requirements

The Operations Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating global operations and manufacturing improvement projects across multiple manufacturing sites. This role ensures projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business and operational objectives.


Acting as a key interface between global engineering leadership and the local manufacturing team in Kunshan, China, the Operations Project Manager drives project planning, execution, tracking, and reporting while ensuring alignment and collaboration in the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate global operations and manufacturing improvement projects across multiple sites.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with operational priorities and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering Managers, and Process Development Engineers to plan and execute projects effectively.
  • Track project progress, risks, and milestones using the Global Project Tracking Tool and other project management systems
  • Ensure consistent project reporting and visibility to global leadership
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment among manufacturing sites and regional teams.
  • Identify potential project risks, bottlenecks, or resource constraints and implement mitigation actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Support the standardization of project management practices across regions and sites
  • Ensure project documentation, reporting, and governance standards are consistently applied.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management within a manufacturing, engineering, or operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project tracking or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate teams across multiple regions and time zones
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Fluent in English.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Project Management certification is a plus
  • Experience managing New products / New technology, / Automation manufacturing projects.
  • Understanding of manufacturing engineering processes and operational improvement initiatives
  • Experience working in a global manufacturing environment.
