Quality Inspector - First shift

Job Overview

TE Connectivity has a new Quality Inspector opening for our manufacturing plant in Mount Joy, PA. This is a first shift job opportunity with working hours of Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3.00 PM with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. 

 

The successful candidate will have prior similar experience of inspecting small parts and must be comfortable wearing safety glasses with side shields during 8 hour shift. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform final inspections on machine components
  • Use standard inspection equipment including microscopes, RAM and OGP
  • Inspect product from production or suppliers
  • Perform Inspection on Deliveries shipping to customers to ensure that all the Quality requirements are met.
  • Setup, and operate measuring systems to determine whether parts meet print dimensions
  • Establish daily priorities and determine the most important tasks to perform at any given time of the day
  • Use various software applications including Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Ability to send and receive data instructions via E-mail using the above applications
  • Communicate the results of inspections to Engineering, Inspection and Management
  • Ability to work and train inspectors and other personnel on use of the OGP and RAM or other standard measurement equipment
  • Work with production personnel to trouble shoot and problem solve issues related to inspection of components or other similar problems

What your background should look like:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a production environment. 
  • Experience with similar products (electronics, connectors, other electromechanical products) preferred. 
  • Must be able to read and interpret prints.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for a period of 2 hrs.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred but not required
