CNC Machinist IV, Lathes (2nd shift)

$1,000 Sign on Bonus and $1,000 Retention Bonus

We are currently offering external candidates a $1,000 sign on bonus payable after beginning employment as well as a $1,000 Retention Bonus payable after completing 180 days of employment.

Job Overview

As Machinist IV in the Lathe department, you will;

  • Applies advanced job skills in area of specialization to set up and operate CNC machining equipment  
  • Read, interpret and follow blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation 
  • Ability to read and understand G and M code programming 
  • Operate CMM’s and digital inspection equipment 
  • Regularly adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet print specifications 
  • Work with team to trouble shoot operations and/or flow issues 
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards, and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified 
  • Meet documented and communicated standards for quality and productivity 
  • Keep records of production quantities and time 
  • Work safely with small hand tools and measuring equipment 
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations 
  • Works under minimal supervision and acts independently  
  • Provides guidance and training to others

Shift and Schedule

This position is located on our 2nd shift which works Monday through Thursday, 3:45pm-1:45am. Second shift receives a 10% shift premium added on to the hourly rate. Overtime is available and may be required during times of high volume.

What your background should look like:

  • 5-10+ years, relevant work experience 
  • Associates degree from a trade school and/or job-related vocational training is ideal
  • Use independent judgement and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks 
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions, with a high attention to detail 
  • Flexibility to work overtime to meet company demands 
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Ability to work in a confined space 
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.  
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time 
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
