Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Candidate will be responsible for testing connector components and terminal systems for the Automotive industry. Main tasks will be to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental and validation tests for new and/or modified products or product components. Also, the individual will be responsible to investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.


Responsibilities
•Set-up, prepare, and conduct electrical, mechanical and environmental laboratory tests according International, Automotive or Customer Standards
•Work with the test team and product development engineers to ensure that new products meet customer specifications and provide information about the test methods used and results obtained.
•Define test methodology depending upon concept or validation or qualification job
•Present the results and write test reports in English
•If repetitive testing is involved design test machine based on Labview software
•Define and select test equipment and maintain equipment in good operating conditions

Education, Experience, and Skills profile:
•Bachelor degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field
•Experience in International testing standards (IEC, ISO 512 series)
•Experience in Automotive Testing Standards (LV2014, USCAR-2,.)
•Knowledge in product and process: Stamping and plating processes are preferred
•Measuring equipment knowledge: Multimeter, Tensile strength, Vibration, Temperature, Environmental Chambers.
•At least 2 years Professional Experience
•English Skills mandatory (verbal/written)
•Certified Green Belt would be a plus
•Creative, well organized, ability to work in team.
•Good communication skill.
