Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Tax Teams develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. They ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns. They assess tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions. The Tax Teams recommend ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. They may administer international tax laws and regulations and also audit financial records to determine tax liability.

 

The tax department maintains an indirect team located in Harrisburg, PA primarily responsible for US non-income taxes for TE and its affiliates.  TE Tax analyst position will have broad exposure to the US operational tax function with an emphasis on business personal property taxes. This position reports directly to the Senior Tax Manager in TE.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain reports of capital assessments; appeal activities, tax liabilities and budget forecasts.
  • Monitor property tax assessment and billings to ensure timely payment.
  • Maintain information regarding TE and subsidiary operations, properties, and assets
  • Initiating data update requests (properties, accounts, assets) from operations
  • Assist in identification of tax incentive opportunities and work with controllers to evaluate qualifications, model benefits and manage related reportings and appeals
  • Analyze capital expenditures for tax optimizations
  • Prepare periodic budget estimates
  • Support acquisitions and integrations; and audit activities
  • Assist in special tax projects
What your background should look like:
  • 4+ years experience in property tax and accounting preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel or Access
  • Working experience with SAP or property tax systems
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively both internally and externally
  • Strong organization and analytic skills
