Senior Manager Sales Operations

Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Sales Operations is a leader within TE Connectivity’s Aerospace, Defense & Marine Global Sales Organization. This role is responsible for the alignment of the Go to Market strategy with the goals and objectives of the business unit. This position will oversee reporting and analytics, systems and data, demand management, incentive plan and commission management, and continuous improvement.  The position will work closely with senior leaders across Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, as well as with other TE Business Units.

Key Responsibilities:    

•    Develops key performance metrics and dashboards that drive the performance of the sales team, including opportunity pipeline, revenue growth, and overall business results
•    Lead weekly sales forecast, pipeline and opportunity reviews across geographically disperse global sales regions
•    Lead the implementation and enhancement of Salesforce.com to create a global standardization for reporting for sales leadership, team and BU leadership.
•    Designs, implements, and supports sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.  Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization.
•    Collaborate with sales leader to measure sales performance, implements comprehensive monthly forecasting process by customer/ region/ product and performs ad-hoc analysis to ensure sound decision-making Provide forecast risk analysis and develop gap closing plans with the sales managers
•    Supports the annual regional sales incentive process (target setting, letter distribution, payout analysis) allocated to all sales channels and resources.
•    Coordinate with operations to ensure accurate demand forecasting from sales forecast and identify and track in-quarter boking to revenue opportunities


•    Provides analytics, partnership, and process leadership to the sales organization
•    Ensure salesforce.com adoption and standardization across the global sales organization
•    Establish and execute a complex multi-regional sales management operating system
•    Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement
•    Analyze and report win rate, loss rate and funnel velocity process to improve the project win rate and forecasting accuracy
•    Develop systems and processes to enable more customer face time for our sales organization
•    Develop and drive effective sales on-boarding and training program
•    Help the sales leaders to prepare the monthly business reviews
•    Administer and monitor the sales data within TE systems for accuracy and completeness, including hierarchy assignments and industry coding
•    Support trade shows and marketing campaigns with data-driven insights from sales activity
•    Pipeline Conversion / Market Share Gain
•    Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Book/Bill Forecast accuracy

What your background should look like:

•    10+ years’ experience in Sales or finance environment and operations roles within a technology/industrial company
•    B.S. required (Finance preferred), MBA desired
•    Demonstrate a strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
•    Proven ability to work collaboratively with executives and functional leaders in a complex, global business environment 
•    Continuous improvement attitude; ability to develop and implement best practices
•    Demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives
•    Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies
•    Proven experience and examples of building and running a complex Operating Plan 
•    Experience overseeing the development of enterprise capabilities addressing advanced analytics for a multi-channel business including the operation of advanced analytics platforms and master data management that enable fact-based decision making, ad-hoc analysis, and insight generation
•    Extensive experience with Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM and associated back-end systems and proven influence of operational best practices
•    Proven experience on-boarding and training sales staff and act as the company's sales operations expert
•    Continuous improvement attitude; ability to develop and implement best practices
•    Self-starter with unquestionable integrity
•    Strong and clear communication skills
•    Ability to work globally and non-traditional hours.
•    Travel (global and domestic) 25-50%.

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $127,400 to $168,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
