Job Overview


The Americas Regional Indirect Procurement Leader will work with leadership to set a clear and ambitious vision and strategy while thinking holistically about how this vision and strategy will impact and enhance the greater company’s operations. This is a unique opportunity to work across all of TE’s Segments and Business Units within several countries. Additionally, the role will collaborate heavily with global leaders in TE’s US-based headquarters. The ideal
candidate will proactively work with internal customers in order to bring overall value to TE Connectivity while building collaborative external partnerships. Furthermore, this role will lead and be responsible for the development of nearly 30 direct and indirect reports within the region. 

The Americas Regional Indirect Procurement Leader will work closely with both Indirect Global Commodity Leaders and internal customers to help establish strategies and goals. The qualified
individual will drive all Indirect commodities to meet the year over year key performance indicators focusing on transparency, visibility, productivity, delivery, and quality, while driving leading indicators.


•    Responsible for working with all operations and sites within the Americas regions to drive results related to indirect spend. 
•    Work with the global commodity leaders to establish a strategic roadmap for the growth of Indirect procurement including productivity, contracting, pricing, consolidation, resourcing, staff coordination, governance and oversight.
•    Create strategic plans along with business leaders and maintain strong relationships with the segment, business units and supporting teams, to ensure support of the cross-functional businesses. 
•    Build, hire and manage a range of professional commodity teams’ members who report directly to this role. 
•    Work with leadership to develop and implement metrics to track success, across key procurement indicators (KPIs), ensuring phases across the procurement circle are successful. These metrics will be designed to drive favorable ECE (Extraordinary             Customer Experience) and improved productivity results. 
•    Manage, coach, and mentor team of client facing commodity managers to ensure excellent customer service and successful support.
•    Maintain control of regional project schedules and risk issues. Set and manage client expectations. 
•    Create and execute project work plans and revisions as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements. 
•    Communicate effectively with clients and continually seek opportunities to increase overall customer satisfaction and deepen the client relationships.


What your background should look like:


  • BS or MS degree in Business, Procurement, Finance or equivalent experience is preferred. At least 10 years of experience demonstrating management and leadership experience, preferably with much of this experience in a direct or indirect Procurement environment. Strong operational management, project management, presentation, consulting, technology and process improvement skills. 
  • Executive level communication with customer facing experience and confident in presenting complex scenarios and solutions.
  • Relationship building and ongoing relationship management with key stakeholders, suppliers and team members is a must.
  • Ability to speak persuasively in front of a large audience which may include management to the executive level.
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams and individuals.
  • Time zone flexibility and the ability to travel 25 to 50%.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex financial documentation and RFP submissions and make detailed reports and recommendations to senior management. Experience with third party procurement and analysis tools such as Jaggaer or Ariba.

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $134,400 to $167,900  (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
