We are building a world class advanced analytics team that will solve some of the most complex strategic problems and deliver topline growth and operational efficiencies across our business The Analytics team at TE is part of the TE Information Solutions (TEIS) Organization and is responsible for driving organic growth by leveraging big data and advanced analytics. The team reports to the VP and Chief Data Officer at TEIS, works closely with the SVP of Corporate Strategy, and has regular interactions with the company’s C-Suite.

We are on an exciting journey to build and scale our advanced analytics practice. TE is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with demonstrated experience in implementing CI/CD pipeline on a hybrid environment to deploy both BI and advanced analytical solutions. This role participates in the conceptualization, design, development and delivery of AL/ML solutions in Cloud and On-Premises in conjunction with senior solution architects.

In this position you will apply your skills to establish DevOps practice to have a consistent and automated way to build, package, test and deliver solutions ranging from BI to AI. The DevOps Engineer will continue evaluating industrial trends, establish best practices and optimize the BI and advanced analytics environments to deploy analytics solutions at scale. This role will be closely working with leadership teams from the different organization to establish the foundation to create value for diverse business functions such as supply chain, pricing, Industrial IOT & digital factory implementation, and will impact business units that span through multiple geographic areas.

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management in a hybrid environment that is distributed across the globe between Cloud and On-Premises
  • Ensures application solution design meet application performance criteria, security measures, release standards, and ensures application and system stability.
  • Contribute to maturing the DevOps and SRE practices within TE by utilizing methodologies such as CI/CD, Agile, and Acceptance Test Driven Development.
  • Develop scripts and automate using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash
  • Manage CI and CD tools with team
  • Provide thought leadership around the use of industry standard tools and models (including commercially available models and tools) by leveraging experience and current industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect, consulting partners and client IT team as warranted to establish and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Practice Root Cause Analysis to determine the scope and scale of issue impact. Create epics/stories and construct automation to prevent problem recurrence
What your background should look like:
  • 8+ years of DevOps Engineering or similar software engineering role in build automation and continuous deployments
  • 3+ years of DevOps Engineering in Cloud platforms (AWS is preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in Analytical application configuration, optimization and testing (AWS & Cloudera is preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS tools such as S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, SageMaker, Aurora, RDS, Lambda Functions AMI, ELB, ALB, NLB, VPC, Auto Scaling configurations, DMS, Data Streaming.
  • Multiple experiences implementing solutions for advance analytics using open source (Cloudera based solutions and AWS based solutions are preferred)
  • Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL, Bigdata Platform, CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, Shell scripting
  • Designing, build and deploy programs for Big Data Platform, Cloudera Data Science Workbench, Data Streaming, Cloud Computing-AWS Stack, HDFS and Cloudera based Hadoop systems
  • Ability to collaborate with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities. Results oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.
  • Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time. Must be able to deliver results based upon project deadlines.
  • Willing to flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Having Data modeling experience is a plus
  • Experience in demonstrating the challenges and recommendation to leadership team in a precise manner
  • Prior working experience with SAP HANA, SAP ERP, SAP BW environments
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience in developing basic data science models
