The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment and is a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and rigorous environments. Job Overview

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE Connectivity serves a broad range of customers in the commercial aerospace, defense and marine (including off-shore, energy exploration) markets. Our customers count on us to deliver engineering solutions and quality products to support a myriad of applications within our industries.


The Aerospace, Defense and Marine development engineering team is looking for a Filter Connector Engineer to assist in the growth and expansion of our filtered connector products.


This position involves interfacing directly with customers, development engineers, new business development and product management, sales, manufacturing engineering, test lab, model & pre-production shop resources.


Other Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the definition, design and testing of filtered connectors, assemblies, and protective connectors and assemblies.
  • The successful candidate will also be required to perform signal integrity/EE modeling and simulation as required, design of filter evaluational test boards, developing and testing prototypes to verify performance as needed, as well as providing test engineering support related to connector design and production.
  • The successful candidate will also be required to assist with EMI/RFI testing as required, including building of applicable fixturing.


  • Due to ITAR regulations, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency (green card) is required to apply for this position. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required along with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with high speed applications in printed circuit boards, filtered connector designs including the use of planar arrays, feed through capacitors, and ferrite products desired.
  • Familiarity with over-voltage/over-current protection including Transient Voltage Suppression devices & Fuses.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, and demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with PSPICE/HSPICE, 2D and 3D SI modeling tools such as HFSS/CST is also desired as well as simulation tools such as Agilent Advanced Design System.
