Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and profit targets.

 

This opportunity is for a Product Manager in the High Power / Extreme Duty Connector Team.  Total travel is approximately 25% within US, Mexico, and Europe.  

 

This Product Manager will act as a “mini” GM driving the overall product strategy and business leadership to achieve revenue and gross margin targets that enable long-term competitiveness and success of the global Hermetics product line.  This individual will develop and implement strategies for new business opportunities including identifying growth opportunities within key existing accounts and developing relationships with emerging customers.  This role requires strong strategic thinking. 

 

This role must closely collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations and Marketing to gain cross-functional alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmap.  The role will also work closely with operations to drive margin, delivery, and lead time improvements within the global Hermetics value streams in Mexico and Europe. 
 

 

 

Responsibilities

1. Marketing Sensing & Strategy Development
•    Develop a strong technical understanding of Hermetic technology and be able to coach customers and the internal sales team on how it can be a value to their application.
•    Research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitor landscape.
•    Develop a global Hermetic strategy, understand where TE adds value, and implement strategy   
•    Provide go-to-market plans for existing product offerings and new NPI products
•    Manage the product lifecycle

 

2. Develop Business Plan
•    Work cross-functionally to achieve sales, technology, operational and financial goals.
•    Implement a Hermetic Pricing Policy
•    Work internally to improve P&L for Hermetics
•    Work alongside operations to put the customer first driving improvements in lead time, delivery and output

 

3. Execution -- New Product Development & Launch  
•    Create new projects for the product based on customer feedback and collaborate with the project management team to launch the product with quality/timing/cost target achieved
•    Provide product information, training, and samples to customers and the sales team to support new product launches
•    Provide product demand FCST input to the S&OP process
•    Promote new products to market with the sales team

 

4. Execution – Post Launch Product Management 
•    Troubleshoot internal and external quality and manufacturing issues with your cross functional teams 
•    Perform pricing, cost, and margin analysis
•    Develop the sales FCST and check the product capacity plan
•    Provide product information to customers, the sales team, customer service, field application engineering, etc.
•    Responding to requests for proposals and samples
•    Analyze excess and obsolete inventory

What your background should look like:

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in technical, Engineering, or related field
•    Sales/Marketing/Project Management/Product Management Background are preferred
•    5+ years of experience in product management, sales, marketing, or project management. Relevant product or industry experience in aerospace connectors is desired. (Hermetic experience ideal but not required)
•    Ability to quickly understand technical requirements, customer applications, and how to apply TE’s Hermetic products
•    Operational experience with manufacturing engineering is preferable
•    Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot internal and external issues related to the Hermetic value stream
•    Business acumen and ability to create strong relationships with customers both internal and external
•    Self-motivated with results-oriented way of working
•    Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal, written, spoken) with exceptional listening skills
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Good understanding of cross-region culture

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300k - $171,600k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
