Product Manager, Cable Management

What you will be doing...

As a member of our Cable Management Product team, this person is responsible for understanding the needs of the markets they serve and develop a vision for this product line.  They will coordinate and lead the efforts of sales, marketing, engineering, supply chain, and customer care to become the preferred solution provider for their customers.  They will be expected to establish goals for their assignment and develop and execute plans to achieve these goals.  The Cable Management product portfolio represents an exciting growth opportunity.  This person will be considered a “Mini General Manager” for this product line and will be expected to build the business over the next 5+ years.

 

As a Product Manager, a typical day may include:

  • Understand the marketplace of assigned product lines, the competitive landscape, macroeconomic trends, and potential M&A opportunities.
  • Conduct market segmentation, develop market specific strategies, competitive analysis, and benchmarking
  • Drive improvements to the product P&L.  Forecast and track sales and profits, pro-actively addressing issues and implementing actions to ensure revenue and margin targets are achieved. 
  • Work with engineering and sales to develop a product road map and provides prioritization guidance to the engineering organization.
  • Define and execute pricing strategies for their product portfolio.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to increase revenue pipeline.
  • Plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans.
  • Create and deliver technical product training, presentations, brochures, and other promotional materials which will support our sales force and allow customers to understand the value proposal of our products and our company.

What your background should look like...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field such as engineering, finance, marketing, business administration, supply chain, or operations management. 
  • 3-5 years of product management and/or business development experience in the aerospace industry, highly preferred
  • Engineering New Product Introduction experience, highly desired
  • Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills. 
  • Solid business acumen with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
