Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Management teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and profit targets.
The Product Manager will be responsible for high-speed over-the-board interconnect and cabled IO end-to-end channel solutions in the Converged Data Solutions Over The Board (OTB) product management team. Product Managers act as "mini" GMs, driving the overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to achieve revenue and gross margin targets that enable the product line's long-term competitiveness and success. This individual will develop and implement strategies to capitalize on new business opportunities. This includes identifying growth opportunities within key accounts and developing relationships with emerging customers and market segments.
- This role requires strong strategic thinking, experience working across global regions, and a proactive, solid work ethic. The Product Manager must also collaborate cross-functionally with
- colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to gain alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmaps.
- Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
- Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy
- Define the resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
- Work cross-functionally to define sales, technology, and operational strategy and goals, aligning them with financial objectives.
- Plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
- Build a strong connection with the target customer teams
- Provide demand forecast inputs and drive needed capacity
- Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio
- Track progress to the business plan and facilitate the resolution of gaps.
What your background should look like:
- 5+ years of product management, sales, business development, or other relevant experience
- 4-year technical degree required, mechanical or electrical engineering degree preferred
- High-speed interconnect product or industry experience preferred
- Relevant P&L management experience preferred
- Strong business acumen with an ability to understand technically complex concepts
- Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on the development of product strategies and relevant business plans, with the ability to execute
- Proven ability to multitask and drive results in a dynamic, high-paced environment
- Vital interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams both internally and externally
- Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to foster understanding and acknowledgment of critical information, both up and down the organization
Competencies
COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300 - $206,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, as well as internal and external equity considerations.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
