Job Requirements

As a Power Integrity Engineering Manager within our Digital Data Networks Business Unit, you will play a key role in coaching your team on simulating, developing, implementing, and verifying the power integrity of our innovative power solution portfolio. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you will coach team members and where needed contribute to the design, validation, scaling, deployment, and support of cutting-edge data center power solutions.

We are seeking individuals who excel at turning ambiguous requirements into precise, highly constrained solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) design, strong simulation and lab measurement skills, and proven experience in designing and manufacturing power products.  Global leadership capability to identify key needs that drive our ability to align with 
 

•    Scale the global Power Integrity capabilities in SEA and the Americas.  
•    Evolve the strategy for lab expansion including centers of excellence and geography
•    Manage Power Integrity lab processes, capacity and capabilities for global data center performance.
•    Guide and manage team members who design, validate, and characterize power conversion and delivery systems for large compute infrastructure
•    Guide team members in the simulation & test of power distribution products, such as cables, connectors, and bus bars, for 800+V, 20+kA server racks and data center applications
•    Review technical accuracy for simulation models, plan and execute simulation suites
•    Improve simulation models and conditions to correlate results with measured lab data to validate models.
•    Measure and characterize AC response, parasitics, and impedance of the power products.
•    Identify and resolve electrical issues by performing hands-on testing, debugging, and root cause analysis.
•    Prepare detailed documentation and reports to support product development and validation
•    Participate in concept /design reviews to ensure simulations and test data show acceptable performance.  
•    Drive high-value development projects that will require you to lead and interface with large groups
•    Improve the design process to meet performance through implementation of improved simulation modeling confidence.
•    Manage technical collaboration with customers and align internal development efforts to meet technical and functional requirements

What your background should look like

•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience. 
•    Approximately 10 years of electrical engineering work experience including +5 years in power conversion and distribution, 5 years in global leadership 
•    Global management of customer requirements and experience in technical customer VOC
•    Experience using electrical design tools and software packages such as Spice, Allegro, Power DC, Ansys Q3D
•    Knowledge of voltage converter architecture
•    Familiarity with High Voltage, 3-phase electrical systems is a plus
•    Comfortable using different instruments such as network analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator, scope and other related test equipment to measure the eye diagram
•    The geographically dispersed group requires that the candidate be self-motivating with the ability to take the initiative to accomplish tasks with limited direction
•    Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences Demonstrated skill in leading, developing and managing team
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills
•    Effectively able to build relationships with external customers and industry leaders as well as internally across all levels, disciplines, and geographies
•    Ability to spend 25% of your time traveling

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $225,000 – $260,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
