Job Overview
TE’s Application Tooling team has an established history of innovation, from the invention of the first solderless crimp hand tool in 1941 through the recent launch of automated machines to process high voltage cable terminations for hybrid electric vehicles. Our flexible solutions range from hand tools for prototyping and low production needs up to state-of-the-art equipment that can produce millions of crimps a year.
Our Application Tooling team is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to fill the role of Operations Manager for the Harrisburg PA organization. This position is critical in ensuring the efficient production and delivery of high-quality applicators and hand tool assemblies while maintaining a safe work environment
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the applicator and hand tool assemblies and repairs. In addition, to first-time-build & prototype processes, from initial design to final qualification and shipment. This role requires a blend of shop operations and technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing continues improvement techniques to drive operational efficiencies and high customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Production Supervision:
• Accountable to control and oversee the production of materials
• Maintain and track production KPIs such are conversion productivity, inventory, safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
EHS Leadership:
• Lead operational aspects of our enhanced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees in the production area.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross functional partners such as (MRP Controller, Applicator Customer Advocate QE/ME, Engineering, etc) to ensure efficient material planning and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to achieve proper documentation for successful performance requirements.
Quality Assurance:
• Responsible for monitoring and improving production processes to meet quality standards.
On-Time Delivery and materials management:
• Responsible to execute and ensure On-Time deliveries efficiently.
Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff.
• Implement performance management systems to drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving within the team.
What your background should look like
Qualifications
• Engineering degree or equivalent in manufacturing operations experience
• 8 years’ experience in operations mgmt., preferably in a low-volume high-mix manufacturing environment and new product introductions.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of team development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and SAP.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and resource allocation.
• Strong commitment to quality assurance and on-time delivery.
• Proven track record in implementing and managing EHS programs.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $119,300-$ 179,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
