Job Overview

Reporting into HR Solutions Total Rewards, this position supports TE’s talent strategies through the design, development, implementation and administration of innovative mobility programs and US domestic relocations.  Provides expertise and leadership of mobility activities; ensuring that the programs meet business needs and regulatory requirements.  Collaborates with HR, business stakeholders, finance, legal and third-party vendors to facilitate and manage the end to end process.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, administers and enhances the program, policies and procedures relating to international assignments, transfers and relocation; taking account of trends in the market together with business needs
  • Assesses mobility programs, practices and policies against market as well as tax, compliance and legislative changes with the goal of delivering an excellent employee experience and market competitiveness
  • Manages the business partnerships, program support and relationships with all external vendors and third parties to deliver quality services while controlling costs
  • Consults with the business, various corporate functions and HR to provide advice and guidance on mobility topics (immigration/relocation/tax)
  • Works with stakeholders to continuously improve programs, processes and services as well as develops creative solutions to meet business objectives
  • Consults and advises on most appropriate transfer/assignment or immigration route to meet business and compliance needs
  • Designs and develops processes and tools to effectively manage mobile employees

 

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of experience with global mobility programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emerging global markets and market trends
  • Knowledge of immigration policies and procedures pertaining to work permits, visas and permanent relocations
  • Knowledge of implications of cross-border moves and ability to interpret and explain to stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution.  Analytically minded approach and good problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Solid business judgment and ability to move and evolve at the pace of the business
  • Ability to navigate the complexities of multiple internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure to meet deadlines within tight time frames and a focus on details
