Job Overview

Our objective is to build a world-class Global Trade Services organization. Global Trade Services Automation Analyst/Manager will oversee TE’s Global Trade Services automation tools. The position will have primary responsibility for supporting the Director of the GTS Program Management Office as a Subject Matter Expert in trade automation activities, partnering with TE’s Information Security group (TEIS) to develop and maintain automation that ensures all trade functional requirements are met.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of the GTS automation service provider strategy. Represent the GTS organization as the primary tactical contact for third-party automation service providers. 
  • Recommend and drive modifications to company-wide policies and processes to align with automation capabilities. Resolve identifiable issues using stakeholder engagement and collaboration techniques.
  • Coordinate and organize the trade SME community for the creation, editing, and review of detailed technical requirements for TEIS projects.
  • Provide proactive guidance on automation gaps/needs to drive compliance and efficiency while ensuring alignment with varying business objectives and user community impact analysis.
  • Develop and manage the technical roadmaps and report on key deliverables and milestones. Effectively communicate, mitigate risks, implement solutions, take corrective actions, and keep all parties informed while maintaining the expectation of excellence.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify, assess, and execute for future needs and prioritize projects based on risk and cost savings.
  • Track, status, and provide reports and metrics associated with project activities. Achieve optimal results by maintaining a balance between business resource allocation, regulatory risk, and business constraints. Manage deadlines and enable clear, concise communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manages the creation and development of training materials on automation tools, and when required, provides necessary supplemental training and updates for employees having trade functions.
  • Build a culture of accountability and collaboration based on corporate desired outcomes.
  • Success in the role requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, strategic analysis and planning capabilities in complex situations, highly developed oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with interdisciplinary teams (both internal and external) to drive issues and projects to a successful conclusion.

In addition, a successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required (international business, supply chain, law, or related field
  • 6+ years’ experience in global trade compliance
  • Preferred: 3+ years’ experience in supporting trade functions from an automation perspective 
  • Functional knowledge of import and export regulations and familiarity with customs practices in countries across the region
  • Ability to foster teamwork and internal and external relationships
  • Excellent organizational habits and priority management 
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to quality
  • Travel may be necessary in fulfillment of responsibilities
  • 3+ years’ experience in the SAP GTS module
  • Experience soliciting and creating trade-related IT requirements from employees and business partners

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $108,300 - $162,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
