Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety, and hazardous material standards, procedures, and practices consistent with TE, environmental, and government regulations.

This position is a 9-month, temporary assignment

Short Description

As part of this role, strategy involves creating an EHS organization, programs, resources, and management system to drive TE's overall EHS strategy and values within the employee's area of responsibility. The strategy's execution will be carried out through both individual and delegated tasks and programs within the organization. You will be responsible for supporting the development, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the EHS management system for the organization that meets TE Safety Assessment for Effectiveness (SAFE) requirements, implements TE environmental sustainability programs, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, TE policies, and TE specifications, and provides continuous improvement in EH&S performance. You will also support the deployment of TE safety initiatives required by the TEOA Safety Tool for the organization, including behavior-based safety (BBS), ergonomics programs, risk assessment, EHS training, machine guarding, and employee engagement. Participating in the assessment, evaluation, quantification, and prioritization of EHS risks for the organization and assisting in the development of action plans for ensuring all significant risks are controlled and managed as part of the operational controls defined within the EHS management system and TEOA processes and procedures. You will also support the deployment of the EHS management system to ensure its effectiveness, participate in the implementation of the organization's EHS programs, and support the delivery of the organization's EHS goals and strategy. Creating and delivering training programs to ensure those involved in maintaining the organization's EHS programs are aware of their responsibilities and how to discharge them. You will provide training for all employees to achieve 100% engagement in EHS. Participating in EHS inspections and audits and facilitating incident investigations and advising management on appropriate corrective actions are also part of your responsibilities.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum 2+ years of EH&S experience required 
  • Experience in a technical, engineering or manufacturing role preferred
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration and team-building skills preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS throughout a Site

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $43.75 – $65.86 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
