Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities.

 

The TE Customer Supply Chain Internship (Summer 2018) opportunity is designed to provide participants with project based work to develop the analytic skills of the individual.  During the internship, the participant is exposed to a variety of challenging projects and has the opportunity to build a professional network across TE. The Customer Supply Chain Internship position expands the traditional Supply Chain Planning/Procurement competencies to include Customer Demand competencies.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytic process map to Support weekly review of customer forecast.
  • Participate in proposal and selection of forecasted part numbers to support activities to meet Key Performance Indicators – STR (Ship to Request), Inventory, and Aged Inventory.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings where regional inventory strategies, objectives, and performance goals are reviewed and attainment strategies are established.
  • Work within various global/regional internal contacts to support global leverage of inventory.
  • Work across TE Business Units to garner support for D&D BU customer stocking strategies.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year accredited university in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or other related disciplines. Expected graduation between December 2018 and June 2019.
  • Motivated individual able to learn quickly and work in a self-directed work environment with minimal supervision.
  • Clear communicator who is able to summarize, write, speak and present confidently to a diverse audience, including senior management.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment with regional and global team members.
  • Proficient with MS-Office products – SAP background is a plus.
  • Minimum GPA in major of 3.0.
