Job Overview

TE Connectivity (TE) has an opportunity for an Automation Manufacturing Technology (AMT) professional with strong technical and team working capabilities in establishing global integrated automation platforms in a leading electrical component manufacturing company. The individual shall have expertise that can be developed in robotics to integrate with automated processes and develop robotics, vision and programming for the next generation automation

This is a rare opportunity to join a high performing organization in a global role, reporting to the AMT Senior Manager as part of the corporate Operations team. The role will be part of the Innovation Team for next generation automation technologies.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  1. A strong technically oriented individual with robotics, simulation and coding skills and strong mathematical background.
  1. Ability to apply and simulate solutions to optimize manufacturing processes designs.
  1. Graduate level coursework and project related experience in manufacturing automation, path optimization and systems engineering.
  1. Experience or strong desire to learn predictive analytics and machine learning.
  1. Programming language skills in Matlab, C++, and Python.
  1. CAD design skills using Creo or similar CAD packages.
  1. Excellent commercial and business acumen in analyzing current technologies and capabilities on the market


Minimum Professional Background Desired:

  1. Solid mathematical background, in particular, vector operations and matrix operations. Solid background in statistics
  1. Rich experience in robotics, electro-mechanical design, analysis, and electro-mechanical parts selection
  1. Previous experience working in the area of robotics or automation
  1. In process of achieving advanced engineering or physics degree (MS) preferred.
