The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment -- a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and harsh environments. Job Overview

As part of the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine team, this Associate Product Manager will be joining a group of professionals who are passionate about ensuring the future growth of their business. This Associate Product Manager will work together with a team of TE Connectivity professionals to develop creative solutions to solve our customers’ problem and grow marketshare.

The Associate Product Manager assists the Product Management team in making sure their product lines meet or exceed all the key performance indictors established during the annual strategic planning process.  They will work across functions to manage all aspects of the product life cycle from strategic planning to day-today tactical activities, with an emphasis on supporting the tactical activities associated with running a product line.  They will help coordinate and lead the efforts of sales, marketing, engineering, supply chain, and customer care to become the preferred solution provider for our customers.    

In addition to the valuable functions this position performs the role is used as a training position to develop future business leaders. 

 

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

    4. Trade show point of contact
    5. Ad hoc Corporate initiatives
  2. Business Plan, 5 Year Strategic Growth Plan support.
    1. Market Analysis
    2. Competitive Analysis
    3. Industry Trends
    4. Product Comparison analysis (TE vs Competitors)
    5. Acquisition Candidates research
    6. TAM, SAM, PAM analysis
  3. Product Management Liaison for Margin Improvement initiatives
    1. Portfolio Management
    2. Manufacturing footprint
    3. Material/Tooling cost savings programs
  4. Pricing Support
    1. Portfolio Management Pricing
    2. Raw Material Headwinds Pricing
    3. Global Book Pricing
  5. Support of transactional activities
    1. Product questions
    2. Sample requests
    3. Part maintenance
    4. Pricing questions
    5. Address customer issues and concerns in a timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction (i.e. waivers)
  6. Opportunity follow up (Growth)
    1. SF.com opportunities
    2. Distribution opportunity tracking/closure
    3. Support strategic sales growth program EPS is going to start

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field such as engineering, finance, marketing, business administration, supply chain, or operations management. 
  • Strong technical and analytical skills. 
  • Solid business acumen with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills.
