TEMPORARY PRODUCTION OPERATOR I 2nd SHIFT

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with various cleaning chemistries/ Hazardous materials (PPE and engineering controls in place)
  • Job may require standing, walking, bending, lifting for extended periods of time
  • Perform most cleaning operations/processes within the department
  • Perform operations in a manner which will consistently meet quality and production standards
  • Able to understand and follow OSHA regulations regarding the handling, storage, disposal of chemicals
  • Runs multiple jobs at a time when time permits
  • Perform routine PM / changing of baths as required

TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Process stainless steel tubing of various lengths through different cleaning baths/solutions
  • Use of water hoses and air lines for cleaning/drying of parts
  • Move material or carts of tubing between departments
  • Maintain accurate records of the jobs performed including routers of in process materials
  • Performs in-process inspection to ensure production meets required specifications
  • Follows work instructions, written procedures, and job routers

Required Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willing to learn; acceptable to training
  • Acquires basic job skills and learns company policies and procedures; generally, has little or no prior relevant training or work experience
  • Microscope use a plus

Physical demands and work environment

  • Employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, talk, hear. 
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds
  • Work environment is that of a general cleaning room

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20- 29.95 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
