Extrusion Technician

Job Overview

Responsible for: General setup, operation and maintenance of PTFE extrusion equipment and tooling to support manufacturing and development efforts in a clean room environment. Facility cleaning, shipping & receiving, QA support as needed, Customer Service support as needed. Overall a multi-functional individual that will wear several hats during our growth needs.


•    PTFE Extrusion tooling cleaning, set-up and tear down.
•    Equipment and facility maintenance and cleaning.
•    Scheduling, setup and running of production and prototype extrusions to customer specification.
•    Shipping of product & Receiving of receivables and all required paperwork for both.
•    All paperwork required per our QA manual & documentation system
•    Supporting QA as needed with inspection procedures or any other QA related tasks.
•    Supporting Sales/Customer Service as needed
•    General support for all manufacturing and development activity.

What your background should look like:

•    High Energy Self-starter that excels in a high energy environment
•    Knowledge of ISO regulations
•    1-2 years (minimum) as Extruder Operator preferred, or equivalent experience
•    High School Graduate or equivalency

Training Requirements:

The extrusion technician will be trained on their task requirements, company quality policies, department policies, and appropriate operating procedures. When a job description is changed or an employee moves to a new position, further training may be required.

  • Review of the Quality manual
  • Training on appropriate Quality SOPs as determined by the Manager.
Authority and Responsibility:

The extrusion technician is accountable for his/her performance and will have sufficient authority delegated to him/her to complete their tasks and meet their objectives as defined in the project plans.
