Role Description

 

As part of the team, incumbent Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s products and services meet the established quality standards. They lead a team of quality control inspectors, oversee the quality assurance processes, and identify areas for improvement

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure process controls adherence to meet product quality requirements
  • Handling non-conformity on shop floor and ensuring corrective actions with systematic approach
  • Management of Customer complaints, queries & Customer audits
  • Driving continuous improvement projects through problem solving approach to reduce COPQ
  • Monitor critical and special characteristics during the assembly process.
  • Lead a team of quality inspectors and allocate inspection responsibilities
  • Preparation of Control plan, Quality Guide, Poka-Yoke Sheets etc. relevant to Quality Controls
  • Training the shop floor team on product quality as per requirements
  • Coordinate containment activities for internal and customer quality issues
  • Support customer audits, certification audits, and process audits

 

 

Skill Set and Profile:

 

  • Hands-on experience in Assembly process, specifically in automotive industry
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical Skills
  • Knowledge of PPAP, Control plan, FMEA, MSA & SPC
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a fast paced and changing environment with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge and practical experience of Six sigma Green Belt (Preferrable)
  • Knowledge of IATF19649 & ISO 9001 standard requirements
  • Strong technical aptitude with willingness to explore & learn new Technologies
  • Good English communication along with hands on experience in MS Office tools

 

 

 

 

Qualification & Experience:

 

  • B.E./ B.Tech. in Mechanical / Production / Automobile engineering
  • 3+ years of working experience
