Assembly Operator V, LGH (1st shift)

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Operations with equipment set-up, operator training, and preventive maintenance of processes to meet scheduled deliveries. 
  • Perform troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities in the areas assigned.
    • Ergonomics and safety improvements
    • Scrap reduction
    • Downtime reduction
    • Rate improvement
  • Collaborate between quality, engineering and production during design reviews, PFMEA’s, and first article builds.
  • Complete process/product development projects including Engineering Sample Requests.
  • Support capital equipment projects by specifying and implementing new manufacturing equipment/techniques.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, while working with a sense of urgency.
  • Handle multiple responsibilities and react quickly to changing priorities with flexibility and willingness.
  • Participate in quotes to accurately estimate assembly rates and required equipment.

$500 sign-on bonus

What your background should look like:


  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a production setting
  • Requires judgement and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks
  • Experience in a manufacturing Quality Management System like AS9100, ISO 2015, etc
  • Ability to work with general guidance on new assignments and creatively adapt procedures, techniques, and/or equipment to meet job requirements.
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

Preferred Experience:

  • CAD experience a plus
  • Certification in a Tooling discipline or manufacturing expertise is desired
  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting methods such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Experience programming and operating electrical test equipment.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
