SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST

Job Overview

The Aerospace, Defense & Marine Division of TE Connectivity is currently seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join our Materials team.  This key position will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager at our Mount Joy facility.  The Supply Chain Analyst position is responsible for purchasing materials from our key suppliers and establishing relationships to ensure excellent delivery and quality.  TE Connectivity's Supply Chain function is responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
•    Strong understanding of SAP and/or Material Resource Planning Systems
•    Establish and maintain working relationships with key suppliers
•    Purchase materials from external suppliers
•    Maintain and expedite purchase orders according to MRP requirements
•    Tactical follow up with external suppliers to assure materials meet quality, production, customer and on time delivery schedules
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams ensuring supplier contracts, quality specifications and delivery requirements are met
•    Supplier invoice resolution
•    Manage and maintain inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply of parts while ensuring customer reliability and meeting both production and delivery requirements
•    Help achieve performance targets including: delivery, inventory & productivity

 

Key Qualifications, Experiences and Knowledge

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Management or Supply Chain.
•    1-5 years buyer experience or supply chain management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
•    Working knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain and planning operations.   
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
•    The ability to negotiate and influence the actions of others to achieve business goals.
•    Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Preferred:
 
o    Working knowledge of SAP
o    APICS certification
