Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term
planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the combined operations of two adjacent Pennsylvania locations in the Lancaster, PA region (Mount Joy and Manheim, PA).
  • Lead the functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement (TEOA).  Indirect reporting with Human Resources, Finance, and Product Engineering
  • Cascade strategic objectives from Segment, Business Unit and Operations functional leadership.
  • Set and manage requirements and expectations for direct and matrixed reports based on the strategic direction and needs of the business.
  • Plan, direct and monitor production activities with the objective of maximizing the use of organizational resources to meet or exceed established targets for TEOA (Lean), Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost,
    Employee Engagement and Talent Development.
  • Drive the creation and deployment of Continuous Improvement initiatives which enable functional areas
  • and the site to meet or exceed its Operating plan
  • Lead the Supply Planning portion of the BU’s Sales & Operations Planning process, looking out 18-24 months and planning the site’s needs for labor and machine capacity, supplier capacity, and drive rigorous scenario planning to ensure end to end supply chain readiness in support of the business and customers

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Business required
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience leading operations and with a demonstrated track record of leading successful site transformations.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience required
  • General project leadership experience
  • Solid working knowledge of plant P&L’s and overall financial acumen
  • Lean leadership is essential with six sigma experience a plus
  • Experience working with multiple customers and suppliers in a low volume high mix industry
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $162,400 - $203,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
