**THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE AT THE MT. JOY, PA FACILITY**
About the Role
We are looking for a forward-thinking CNC Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead our precision machining engineering team and drive the next generation of manufacturing capability. This role is responsible not only for day-to-day process optimization but also for shaping the long-term technology roadmap — identifying, justifying, and implementing advanced CNC equipment and automation solutions that position our plant for future growth.
The successful candidate will combine deep technical knowledge of CNC machining with strong business acumen, leading efforts to improve productivity, reduce cost, and enhance quality through data-driven decision-making and strategic equipment investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians supporting CNC machining, tooling, and automation processes.
 - Develop, implement, and maintain the CNC technology roadmap, aligning future capital investments with business objectives, production demand, and technological advancements.
 - Evaluate and select new CNC equipment, automation platforms, and process technologies based on technical capability, ROI, and alignment with strategic goals.
 - Build detailed business cases for capital expenditures, including cost-benefit analysis, capacity modeling, and payback projections.
 - Oversee process validation, capability studies (CpK/PpK), and machine acceptance trials for new equipment.
 - Standardize best practices through process documentation, standard work, and operator training programs.
 - Champion LEAN manufacturing initiatives—SMED, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Visual Management—to reduce setup time, improve throughput, and eliminate waste.
 - Partner with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance) to resolve chronic issues and drive continuous improvement.
 - Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities in machine utilization, downtime, and yield performance.
 - Support new product introduction (NPI/NPD) and product transfer projects, ensuring manufacturability and process stability.

What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
 - 4+ years of experience in CNC machining or precision manufacturing, including at least 1 years in a leadership role.
 - Proven experience developing technology roadmaps and leading capital equipment justification efforts.
 - Strong understanding of CNC controls, programming (Fanuc, Citizen, Star, Mazak, or similar), cutting tool technology, and process optimization.
 - Hands-on experience with LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies (A3, DMAIC, PFMEA, DOE).
 - Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
 - Proficiency with CAD/CAM, ERP systems, and data analysis tools (Power BI, Excel, Minitab).

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Swiss-type or Escomatic, Makino Milling, Mazak Lathe, Mikron Contact machining technology.
 - Exposure to automation and Industry 4.0/Smart Factory initiatives (IoT, real-time machine monitoring, digital twins).
 - Prior success in leading capital projects from concept through installation and qualification.
 - Background in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing.

Why Join Us
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the plant’s machining technology roadmap and long-term competitiveness.
 - Collaborate with engineering and operations leadership to guide multi-million-dollar capital investments.
 - Lead a skilled, motivated team in a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
