Job Overview

The IT Audit Manager is responsible for the execution of audits and risk assessments designed to evaluate operations, applications, infrastructure and network security of TE’s IT environment.  As a leader within the Internal Audit department, the IT Audit Manager will be tasked with identifying and assessing IT risks and control weaknesses and recommending practical solutions that management can implement to remediate these risks.


  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of IT related controls, related technologies and deployment strategies.
  • Carry out the vision and mission of Internal Audit to assess and improve the company’s control environment.
  • Identify, and clearly define, IT audit issues and root causes, recommend improved internal controls and business processes, and ensure that corrective action plans are developed and implemented.
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight of audit planning / risk assessment, audit execution, closure, and reporting for multiple audit teams across a wide variety of businesses.
  • Interface with various levels of the organization, including Senior Management.
  • Review audit work papers and audit reports, along with providing auditors with coaching.
  • Assist in generating the annual audit plan.
  • Evaluate auditor performance and actively manage an annual budget and resource schedule for annual IT audit priorities.
  • Actively mentor staff for continued growth and development within the IT Audit function.
  • Attract, recruit and infuse the Internal Audit department with high performing talent.

What your background should look like:

  • 6+ years of audit or other relevant experience, including supervisory /managerial experience. 
  • Possession of a complementary college degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Maintains or commits to pursuing related professional certification(s) (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CRISC, etc.) 
  • Experience using and assessing SAP platforms, including SAP S4 HANA environments, a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including fluent English writing and verbal skills required. Multi-lingual language skills, a plus.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to positively influence in a team environment.
  • Willing to travel internationally when required.
