Job Overview

Responsible for overseeing daily molding operations to ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality standards, in compliance with customer specifications and applicable regulatory requirements

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Define goals, develop plans to meet production schedules, resolve technical issues, and supervise daily operations.
  • Translate customer requirements into efficient and cost-effective manufacturing strategies and processes.
  • Allocate resources to meet production targets, maximize operational capacity, and ensure team members receive appropriate training.
  • Lead and monitor continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve departmental goals in labor efficiency, resource utilization, housekeeping, and productivity.
  • Strong proficiency in production control, including monitoring production adherence and attainment, managing scrap levels, analyzing production variances, and tracking work order aging to support operational profitability.
  • Evaluate employee performance based on company standards for quality, productivity, and career development.
  • Ensure a balanced distribution of skills across the team to effectively meet production plans.
  • Build and enhance employee skill sets to foster a cross-functional and high-performing workforce.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a fair, positive work environment that encourages strong work ethics and team spirit.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant working environment within all supervised areas.

What your background should look like

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role; molding experience is a strong plus.
  • Proven leadership skills with a positive and motivating influence.
  • Demonstrated success in both individual contributions and team-based achievements.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; fluent in English.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

 

Certifications (Preferred or Required)

  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) – preferred for driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • ISO 9001/AS9100 Environment – preferred for understanding and applying quality standards.
  • Supervisory or Leadership Training Certification – preferred to support team development and performance management.
  • Injection Molding Certification (e.g., RJG* or equivalent) – highly preferred for technical expertise in molding processes.
      • *Master Molder I & II:, *Systematic Molding (scientific), *Decoupled Molding
