Electronics Technician

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Competency in the Electronic modification and calibration down to Component level of Crompton’s product range. Products include analogue Instrumentation, Transducers, protection relays, digital indicators, Multi Function Power meters.
• Carry out product inspections and repairs in accordance with company procedures down to component level.
• Carry out Electrical calculations to allow correct modification of product on work orders.
• Provide calibration certificates and test reports upon request for products with in our range using bench test equipment and test software.
• Technical liaising with Crompton staff and customers, offering engineering solutions on our product range to meet customer application needs.
• Learn and understand products communications / software output protocols and the methods involved in the testing of these product features (such as Modbus, Bacnet etc) 
• Allocation of stock against customer orders.
• Be computer literate in windows applications and in house applications.
• General house keeping of work areas, workshop manuals and Stock as required.
• Other such duties may be required from time to time.
• Understand and follow Quality manuals and EHS manuals. Involvement in continual improvement in all areas are expected

Job Requirements

• Electronic/electrical technology Trades, ideally had experience at component level work.
