Job Overview

 

Responsible for development and ownership of US Supply Base and management for US based suppliers. Preparing RFQ packages, negotiating pricing and terms, and making data driven Sourcing decisions.  Drive cost savings and optimization of supply base.  Responsible for PBL and other commodities strategy, in liaison with Corporate guidelines.
Responsible to represent Procurement with cross functional teams such as Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Operations and support cross-functional projects with US footprint.
Responsible for NPD projects flawless launches with US suppliers.
Support Corporate initiatives/projects with local Supply Base.

 

 Responsibilities:


•    Procurement project manager for Raven assigned portfolio. Flawless execution and successful suppliers management and integration: till SOP +3-6months post SOP support.
•    Project manager for all NPD Americas projects (responsible for project gates deliverables for Procurement)
•    Manages US supply base and builds strong relationships with strategic US suppliers to optimize performance. Develop new US based suppliers as needed.
•    Actively participate to achieve the objectives/targets regarding Supplier Quality, Delivery and Material Productivity. Multi-sourcing, Contracts coverage and other Procurement metrics, contributing to the extended team Americas KPIs performance.
•    Develops, executes, commodity strategies ensuring alignment with plants and BU objectives
•    Leads and executes the Sourcing Steps- RFQ process
•    Clears the path to issues related with supply disruptions
•    Ensure enough capacity at our suppliers +capacity management process 
•    Ensures and promotes adherence to global processes, policies, procedures, best practices within TE and extensive to supply base
•    Creates Procurement reports and performs analysis to identify trends, opportunities, threats and the needed course correction
•    Accountable for Data Integrity in SAP for US suppliers
•    Run Should cost analysis where applicable

What your background should look like:

 

•    +5-8 years’ Experience in field
•    Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Finance/Economics preferred)
•    Knowledge of ERP systems as applicable to planning & purchasing
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Project management knowledge and experience 
•    Negotiation and analytical skills
•    Intermediate to advance use of MS office application mainly focus in Excel
•    Fluent in English
•    Strong communication and presentation skills
•    Knowledge of financial costing of product

COMPENSATION


•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $114,400-$171,600  (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
