Job Overview

The Technical Associate III supports daily production by setting up BOMs, routings, and manufacturing documents, preparing factory order packets, and ensuring materials are delivered to workstations. This role assists with engineering changes, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting process issues to keep operations running smoothly. The technician collects and analyzes data, maintains logs and procedures, and participates in continuous improvement activities. Success requires strong problem‑solving skills, clear communication, teamwork, adaptability, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • Production Support: 
    - Operate and set up bill of material, routings, and other required documents for manufacturing, assembly, or packaging processes.
    - Setting up STO’s.
    - Documentation & communicating details of competitor terminals.
  • Management: Packet creation (build production factory order packets), verifying correct information on B.O.M.’s and routers.
  • Stores: Pulling materials from inventory and delivering designated workstations to work.
  • Calibration & Testing: Processing Engineering design changes as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve process issues, ensuring specifications are met.
  • Data & Analysis: Collect and analyze data (e.g., SPC) and support quality/ production control.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen) and assist in modifying processes for improved performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain machine logs, technical documents, and create/edit procedures. 

What your background should look like

Requires high school diploma.
2-3 years of relevant experience.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions with minimal supervision.
Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to work with engineers and teams.
Teamwork: Effective collaboration within diverse teams.
Adaptability: Quick learner, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Safety: Adherence to safety protocols and procedures. 
Works closely with leadership, engineering, design, manufacturing, and model shop teams.
May involve working with diverse products (connectors, metals, plastics) or processes (molding, assembly).
Focus on meeting project deadlines, cost targets, and quality standards.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $65,600 – $98,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
