Supply Chain Supervisor

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

What You'll Be Doing....

•    Supports the overall GAD-NA effort in achieving the goals and objectives of delivery, associated cost, quality, value and service.
•    Strong data analytics background to support inventory planning for Senior leadership review.  
•    Lead weekly review of critical issues with leadership and drive recovery actions with our global planning and operations.
•    Maintains a sense of the business with respect to special concerns such as service levels, accuracy in forecasts, expediting levels, and stock/make guidelines.
•    Interface with engineers, customer service, business office, sales, TE management or outside 3rd party facilities
•    Provide leadership of all Materials functions in conjunction with the purchasing plan.
•    Support the monthly S&OP Planning meeting.
•    Participate in the decision making process for system changes that impact the Material’s discipline.
•    Review customer delivery discrepancies to determine cause.  Interacts with team personnel and suppliers for resolution.
•    Review forecast to determine if there is a need to contact supply location to determine possible capacity constraints. 
•    Resolve customer expedites that involve support from logistics, vendors, quality, and receiving as required.
•    Coordinates the resolution of inventory discrepancies, determines cause and implements a solution.  
•    Review and approval requisitions to support customer demand.

What your background should look like:

•    Minimum of a 4-year college degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering 
•    Strong understanding of SAP, or other planning tools. 
•    APICS Certification a plus
•    Ability to work under pressure
•    Good written and verbal skills
•    Strong skill set with Microsoft Excel.  
•    Experience in the Automotive industry is a plus
