Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.


Job Responsibilities

•    Participate in and contribute to large and complex projects to develop tools and organization capabilities to support a data driven integrated supply chain. Own assigned tasks and resolve general problems with minimal guidance. Act as subject matter expert and train others to use core models and data tools.
•    Responsible for implementing Supply Chain initiatives to reduce cost and improve service focused on global performance. Construct process maps, collect data, perform robust analyses, deliver recommendations, and implement process improvement initiatives relative to end-to-end supply chain.
•    Drive proactive and timely automated reporting platforms to enable supply chain improvements and assist in organizational goal achievement.
•    Daily trade compliance transaction resolution including part coding, COO, and monitoring.
•    Complete complex ad hoc analysis concerning inventory management, Logistics, operations, metrics, and purchasing.
•    Provide timely and complete responses to various corporate, segment, business unit and functional support requirements.
•    Establish and maintain relationships with internal intercompany business units and suppliers.

Qualifications and Compentencies
•    Strong project management, communication and organizational skills.
•    Strong teambuilding skills with the ability to lead, direct and manage.
•    Proven computer skills in Microsoft suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint – and SAP
•    Strong verbal, analytical and written communication skills.
•    Ability to work independently on multiple projects/work streams at one time; must be able to formulate analyses and reports to support business needs and deliver results based upon project deadlines.
•    Ability to influence senior management through well formulated business presentations.
•    Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision.
•    Demonstrated personal leadership of cross-functional teams, demonstrating organizational and management skills, and achieving quality results through team interaction and effective cross-group collaboration.
•    Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to analyze data and use critical thinking to reach logical conclusions and decisions; results oriented; relies on fact-based logic for decision-making

Education and Experience
•    Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, and project management related functions.
•    Undergraduate degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
•    Experience working in a large, global organization and cross-regional with various cultures
