Day-to-Day Job Overview
- Identifying improved, cost effective packaging solutions.
- Understanding standards for material content, labeling requirements, and guidelines for utilizing eco-friendly materials.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
- Designing and testing prototypes.
- Researching and analyzing materials and packaging solutions.
- Conducting packaging performance tests.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost / efficiency / sustainability projects related to packaging processes and materials throughout the ADM Organization.
- Develop packaging solutions and documentation for New Product Development projects .
- Assist plants with any complex packaging solutions .
- Drive effort to review and reduce the number of SKU’s for packaging materials.
- Optimize size , quantity and cost of spool options for W&C Sub-BU.
- Develop internal, cost effective , re-useable packaging material for transportation between operations / plants.
- Support TE Sustainability effort by identifying and implementing ECO Friendly packaging solutions.
- Support ADM Manufacturing locations by proposing solutions for any daily packaging challenges.
Team Composition/Specific Group Info
- Position will be part of the Center Lead Engineering Team supporting all AD&M facilities Globally. Focus will be primarily on supporting Cost Reduction , Sustainability and effective packaging solutions.
- Candidate should be fluent in CAD software for packaging design and virtual testing .

- This position will be part of the Aerospace, Defense & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit

What your background should look like:
- Have received a BA/BS Degree in, Packaging or Manufacturing Engineering. from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history.
- 6 -7 years of experience years of experience in packaging engineering or related.
- Experience developing packaging strategy within a manufacturing setting.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $101,000 - $151,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
