Senior Manager Product Management

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

Role overview:

•    Manage, energize and motivate a multi-cultural team of global product managers with direct reporting line
•    Manage the P&L (sales and profitability) for the assigned portfolio.
•    Deliver sustained profitable growth
•    Articulate market/industry trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and competitive landscape
•    Segment the market to develop customized strategies
•    Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
•    Define segment-specific value propositions to beat the competition
•    Develop product roadmaps that align with the business strategy
•    Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
•    Develop go to market strategies, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
•    Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet customer needs  
•    Manage the product lifecycle
•    Work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks
•    Establish product pricing policy
•    Develop the annual operating plan for the assigned portfolio (sales and profitability)
•    Be the new opportunity champion for PAC (NPI) projects
•    Plans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans.
•    Provide demand forecast inputs for the S&OP process
•    Engage customers to support business development efforts
•    Exercise thought leadership
•    Provide inputs to Marketing for the development of collateral, including ecommerce
•    Enable sales to promote the portfolio via training and the development of collateral materials 
•    Manage special pricing requests
•    Track progress to the business plan and drive action to address gaps 
•    Drive the broader organization to address product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
•    Manage and develop product manager team
•    Drive partnerships and acquisitions to build scale and enhance relevance to customers and channel partners.
•    Build a robust pipeline of M&A targets in alignment with the portfolio strategy

What your background should look like:

•    Due to ITAR restrictions, must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
•    7+ years of product management experience and experience leading others
•    Relevant product or industry experience (Aerospace and Defense) preferred but not required
•    4-year technical or business degree required
•    Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience preferred
•    Experience in complex, matrix organizations; knows how to get things done with influence where required
•    Demonstrated ability as problem solver in fast paced environment
•    Experience in a B2B environment
•    Travel: 25% to 50%
