Title:  Sr Manager Supply Chain - Imports
Location:  Harrisburg, Pennsylvania or Open

 

Our Automotive Americas Imports Team is focused on exceeding customer and business expectations through flawless execution of plans, optimizing resources and collaborating across functions. We are looking for a strategic leader with global experience who thrives under pressure.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Integrated Supply Chain.

 

Responsibilities:


•    Define the strategy and KPIs for Automotive Americas Imports with the overall target to improve operational performance and to reduce transportation costs.
•    Recruit, develop, engage and lead the Imports teams to support the business needs and objectives
•    Build and maintain the relationship with colleagues in EMEA and APAC 
•    Partner with Global and Business Logistics teams to manage and improve operational performance of transportation service providers, ensuring short transit times and low costs.
•    Partner with Strategic Inventory manager to achieve inventory and freight budget for imports parts from origin and to customers  
•    Support all efforts to achieve the goals and objectives of delivery, associated cost, quality, value and service.
•    Demonstrate business acumen with respect to special concerns such as service levels, accuracy in forecasts, expediting levels, and stock/make guidelines.
•    Interface with engineers, customer service, business office, sales, TE management or outside 3rd party facilities
•    Influence and support the monthly S&OP and S&OE Planning meeting.
•    Identify issues, improve continuously, use best practices and benchmarks, perform root-cause-analysis and initiate change management to resolve or escalate issues.
•    Guide Imports team to review forecasts and assess needs to address capacity constraints, expedites and escalations 
•    Guide Imports team to resolve customer expedites and hot lists with Logistics, vendors, quality, and receiving as required.

Job Requirements:


•    Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering 
•    Significant experience in Supply Chain & Planning 
•    Knowledge of Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes
•    Strong understanding of SAP
•    Strong analytical skills (Excel)
•    Strong communication skills
•    Experience in the Automotive industry and managing FG components from EMEA and APAC to be sold or distributed into Americas preferred
•    Travel up to 25%
