Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.


TE Connectivity’s Sensors Business Unit is a $750M global business with approximately 4,000 employees, and operations around the world. The Sensors Finance team provides accurate and timely business decision support to the GM, CFO, and business and functional leads through financial analysis and detailed reporting, as part of annual and strategic planning, internal forecasting, standard close activities and other company initiatives.
Sensors has recently established a global Business Transformation Office (BTO), focused on the successful management and execution of global, transformational projects in support of profitable business growth and our footprint journey.


The Manager – Finance (Business Transformation) will be an integral part of the BTO, and drive success through timely business decision support, financial analyses, capital budgeting assessments, scenario planning and balance sheet impact estimates (e.g. inventory, depreciation). The Manager – Finance (Business Transformation) will be expected to work extensively with Sensors operational and commercial / product management finance, and draw on corporate and other resources as required to support the project activities.

The position has geographical flexibility, with preference for location in either the US Central / Eastern or Western European time zone. The role will report to the Senior Manager – Controlling / Finance. Some travel (<25%) may be required, post COVID-19 travel restrictions.


•As an embedded business partner, provide timely, relevant financial business decision support to the Director – BTO lead  and broader BTO team. Business decision support includes financial analyses, predominantly around scenario planning  capital  budgeting assessments, balance sheet impact estimates (e.g. modified cash flow, inventory, depreciation), M&A and  restructuring (50%)
•Work within finance and cross-functionally to gather, validate and consolidate the source information as required to  support the above financial analysis activity (20%)
•Provide financial reporting as required (likely quarterly and annually) in support of TE financial reporting cadence. Key  deliverables will include tracking profitability metrics (gross margin and operating margin), and cash and non-cash  benefits and expenses on a periodic and cumulative basis (15%)
•Identify and capture sustainable standard processes and continuous improvement around delivery of financial business  decision support to the BTO (10%)
•Support BTO program managers with budgeting activities as required (5%)
•Provide support for other ad/hoc requests (e.g. assistance with executive presentations and readouts, productivity  reporting etc.) (0-5%)
•Develop, train, and mentor staff as applicable (0-5%). 

What your background should look like:

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance-related field with 5+ years of work experience.
•MBA, CFA or other Master’s qualification preferred.
•Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, for a senior executive audience.  Able to tactfully highlight and defend positions in front of senior management.
•Strong analytical skills, able to break down complex problems and develop / suggest solutions
•Ability to develop talent, and effectively coach and motivate others
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, and Hyperion Planning along with familiarity with data analysis tools such as Tableaux or Power BI, and thinkcell
