Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes. 

As a Sr Engineering project manager, you will be part of DND global engineering excellence and Project Management Office (PMO). You will drive the successful implementation of Digital part management, Product lifecycle management (PLM) and Engineering change management. You and your team are the focal point for digital engineering in the DND business; supporting +300 engineers globally to create EBOMs, ECR/ECNs and support digital systems/tools. As the digital focal point you will need to articulate challenges and drive proactive improvement efforts.

Global leadership and communication to effectively deploy digital tools at a site or regional level

Identify triggers and levers to manage risk-impact to BU goals and initiatives

Drive proposed tool solutions to meet BU needs.

Ensure timing and resources are prepared to support effective implementation of these tools.

Drive effective completion of training, adoption of tools and communication of metrics.

Develop and implement gap closure plans to align BU goals and adoption metrics

Upon request from management, obtain specific data information, analyze the information to provide and recommend decisions and options from varying data sets

Represent BU to update and feedback on deployment status with Corporate team

Lead on TEOA-continuous improvement plan to get BU Star level on target

Managing Kaizen pipelines and facilitating kaizens events

Key owners of engineering data analysis to present health check on engineering status, Product data completeness and other Go-To-Production initiatives

Leading EBOM legacy Team to meet BU’s EBOM targets for each fiscal year


This position also plays a very strategic role in the organization as the leader for TEOA (TE Operating Advantage).  TEOA is the lean management system that drives continuous improvement focused on delivering value to customers.  This role is responsible for orchestrating efforts across the engineering team globally and collaborating cross functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Operations as well as other TEOA leaders on broader cross functional initiatives.

What your background should look like:

Bachelor or above in Engineering or equivalent program

10+ years’ experience in project management

5 years’ experience in engineering

Ability to lead global cross functional teams

Solid understanding on Engineering tools, PLM, EC, EBOM

Six sigma or kaizen experience, Green belt is a plus.

Data mining, experience with Tableau/power BI is a plus

Excellent in English (verbal/written)

Excellent communication, presentation skills

Excellent in MS office, excel, PowerPoint
