Job Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Development Engineer to join our prototype development team, focusing on 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing additive manufacturing processes for new product development, including process definition & development, and process qualification activities. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, timeline and quality.

Job Requirements

Process Development
•    Develop and apply AM processes related to new product development, including process definition and development using CAD/CAE software.
•    Analyze and address design manufacturability, cost and timeline considerations during product development phases. 

 

Process Analysis & Documentation
•    Initiate and lead process development activities for new programs, including team formation and meetings.  
•    Provide comprehensive Process Flow Charts beginning with process steps and ending with shipment to customers.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration
•    Interact with larger product development teams including product management, project management, and product development engineering. 
•    Assist shop managers to oversee daily operation. 

What your background should look like

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
•    3-5 years of experience in additive manufacturing process development or related engineering roles.
•    Proficiency in CAD software (Creo, SpaceClaim, AutoCAD or similar)
•    Knowledge and hands-on experiences of additive manufacturing processes (DLP, SLA, FDM, SLS), and various material types. 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
•    Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

 

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience with connector or precision component manufacturing
•    Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing tolerances
•    Experience with design review processes and cross-functional team collaboration
•    Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies. 
•    Experience in manufacturing environment and shop floor is a plus.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $83,000 - $90,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
